Roots N Blues Festival - Columbia, MO - Jul 26 to Jul 28, 2024
2024 – moved up to late July from late September. We’ll see if it returns to fall. Description: Over 40 musicians representing genres of blues, roots, gospel, folk, country, and soul, plus a 1/2 marathon and 10K, and more at Stephens Lake Park. Since 2007.
Taste of St. Louis - Chesterfield, MO - Aug 2 to Aug 4, 2024
An ultimate food experience with art, live music, a Chef Battle Royale, guest cooking demonstrations, a restaurant row, kids activities, and main stage shows, held at Soldier Memorial Park.
Maysville Country Harvest - Maysville, MO - Aug 8 to Aug 10, 2024
Previously held in September. An annual event first held in 1996 after residents responded to a community survey requesting a weekend festival. Festivities include a homemade scarecrow contest, panty hose bowling, several eating contests, lip sync battle, pancake breakfast, 5K, kids’ activities, parade, pumpkin bowline, dance demonstration, live entertainment and more.
Ernte Fest - Friestatt, MO - Aug 9, 2024
5 PM to Midnight. Has up to 10,000 visitors on a Saturday night. Hosted by the Freistatt Lion’s Club. Small cover charge for Bier Garten for ages 18 and over. Food and entertainment including bingo, chicken dance contest, bratwurst eating contest and anvil shooting. Credit cards not accepted (ATM on site). Children welcome inside Bier Garten with parent or legal guardian.

Japanese Festival - St Louis, MO - Aug 31 to Sep 1, 2024
One of the oldest and largest festivals of its kind in America. Celebrates the culture, history and people of Japan with art, food, dance, and entertainment. Produced by the Missouri Botanical Garden and local Japanese-American organizations, since 1977.

Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest - Lee's Summit, MO - Sep 27 to Sep 28, 2024
70,000 are expected in Downtown Lee’s Summit for Oktoberfest to enjoy the German meals, three stages of entertainment, dancers, biergarten, carnival, arts and crafts. It has been held for more than 20 years. Contests include a home brew beer competition, wiener dog race and baby contest. Kids street has contests for kids, crafts such as pumpkin decorating, and free activities.

Celebrate Jefferson City’s German heritage with this fall festival. The annual Oktoberfest hosted by the Old Munichburg Association includes live music, dancers, beer/wine garden serving authentic food, demonstrations, kids games, hot rod/classic car show, dachshund costume contest and derby. They have expanded it to include Friday evening, with a German dinner hosted by the Central United Church of Christ and live music & beer garden on Washington Street. Oktoberfest in Cole Camp - Cole Camp, MO - Sep 28, 2024
Cole Camp, a historic town on the National Register of Historic Places, has been holding this event for more than ten years. It includes traditional German food and beer, gun show, bicycle tour and antique farm machinery displays (tractors and old engines). They also have a wine and beer tasting. The Prairie Day event, held at the same time, includes hayrides, nature exhibits, kids games, banjo concerts and star gazing in the evening.

Weekends in Hermann have been packed with events for Missouri Oktoberfest seekers. The Hermannhof Festhalle on East First Street has wine, beer and brats. The German Bier Garten at Sesquicentennial Park on Gutenberg Street has food, beer and live music. Breweries, wineries and other clubs/locations have special events planned as well. The Arts & Crafts festival is on the second weekend of October. Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival - Lee's Summit, MO - Oct 5 to Oct 6, 2024
1850’s music, skilled interpreters, dance, buggy rides, hot spiced sider, arts & carfts, hay rides and children’s game, all held at Missouri Town 1855, a living history museum with year-round programming focused on 1800s farm life. Cost is $10 per car/van, $20 per bus.

Annual event with 80,000+ visitors throughout the month. The premiere event, a parade, is one of the largest parades of the region, and takes place the 3rd Saturday of October. Missouri Day Festival - Trenton, MO - Oct 18 to Oct 19, 2024
The Missouri Day Festival is the largest festival of the year for Trenton. Sponsored by the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce, it is held the third weekend in October each year. This event draws thousands of people to the Trenton area. This is a family-friendly event that hosts activities for persons of every age. Adults and children alike can shop with nearly 120 different vendors who come from all over the United States. Many vendors return year after year for this well-attended event. Come on out to play, eat and just have fun. In conjunction with the festival, there is also a marching band competition for high schools throughout Missouri. Also offers parade, 15-20 food vendors, children amusements, and much more!!
Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Heritage Days - Warsaw, MO - Oct 19 to Oct 20, 2024
The Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Heritage Association presents a living history experience through the demonstration of more than seventy 17th to 19th century crafts, trades and lifestyles of the early pioneers. At Harry S. Truman Visitor Center and throughout the wooded trails of Kaysinger Bluff in Warsaw, Missouri you’ll visit the Hooper House, the Concord School House and an 1850’s pioneer homestead and discover which dwelling once housed Frank and Jesse James for a night. Be sure to spend some time at the Civil War and Mountain Man Camps. As you stroll the trails you will find a variety of entertainment on the stage of the Trailside Theater and on the porches of the early American homes. There is lots of bluegrass singin’, fiddlin’ and storytellin’. Throughout the village you will smell the aroma of foods cooking on open fires. Satisfy your hunger at several spots along the trail that feature foods from back in the day as well as kid friendly foods. Take your pick from biscuits and sausage gravy, beef or pork sandwiches, roasted corn, fried pies, turkey legs, shaved ice, hamburgers, hot dogs and much more. This celebration has two primary locations; Kaysinger Bluff (Harry S Truman Visitor Center) and Drake Harbor in Downtown Warsaw. The modern celebration downtown is brought to you by the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and the City of Warsaw. The event fee is $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for ages 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. Buses will transport guests to Kaysinger Bluff for the Pioneer demonstrations and crafts and to Drake Harbor for modern crafts.
