San Diego haunted houses are some of the scariest in California. Enjoy a great scary night out with your spouse, date, or friends. Expect to be terrified at these haunted attractions. For the price of a movie you can be part of the action as you come face to face with terror. Most use animatronics, great props, Hollywood sets, and actors with makeup beyond belief. You will be frightened. Find all the haunted houses near me, trails, corn mazes, hayrides, and Halloween fun attractions in the San Diego area. Because of San Diego’s mild climate and famously beautiful weather, the ghosts of San Diego really don’t have much to complain about. If you encounter a scary one at these haunted houses, please ask for us why they are so upset!

Field of Screams Haunted Stadium - Lake Elsinore, CA
Field of Screams has decided to remain closed for the 2022 season.
Halloween Horror at Boomers - San Diego, CA
Boomers park is open August, September, and October 2022 generally Wednesday through Sunday with some dates until 10 PM. They do not appear to have separate Halloween or Haunt attractions this year. Yet they are an amazing place for entertainment fun.
Haunted Trail at Balboa Park - San Diego, CA
The Haunted Trail is back for 2022 running every Thursday through Sunday nights beginning September 23rd. The Haunted Trail is a stroll through the park you will never forget. Enter the mile long Trail through the twisted grove of pines and gnarled oaks of San Diego’s world-famous Balboa Park! This year, you can get up close and personal with horror icons like Pennywise, Leatherface, Freddy, and Michael Myers.
Savage House - San Diego, CA
Sorry folks but Savage House appears to have closed.
Scream Zone - Del Mar, CA
The fun starts October 6th. Now over 20 years old; the Scream Zone features three bloodcurdling attractions named the Haunted Hayride, The House of Horror, and KarnEvil. These attractions are open. The park has concession stand with food, gifts, and beer. Tickets start cheap for one attraction and go up to 3 attractions plus a number of combo ticket options. Buy online and save some money. The times are 7 pm to midnight on Friday and Saturday or 11:00 pm other nights. They are open most nights in October for terror. Check their web page for a schedule.
Sinister Pointe Scary Place - Laguna, CA
Sinister Pointe operates a scary Airbnb. Check out their facebook page for information on how to book this fun and scary hotel type stay.
The Haunted Hotel - San Diego, CA
The Haunted Hotel opens September 30th and runs every Wednesday through Sunday nights in October. Check web page or Facebook for updated information. San Diego’s longest running haunted house. Escape the tortuous Dissectors, hop aboard the Clown Subway or enjoy creepy doll island. Tickets are cash or online at The Haunted Hotel.
