Some clarifications on how our list was chosen.
Hope we have all our local favorites. Our list ranks haunts based on Facebook likes. Some wonderful haunts are excluded because they do not have a separate Facebook page. For example there are lots of Six Flag Fright Fests which are spectacular attractions and extremely popular. They do not have individual pages. Some of the Cedar Fair properties run great Halloween attractions without a separate page.
Perhaps the most popular Halloween attractions in the country are the Disney Mickey parties in Florida and California. We also left off the new Rob Zombie attractions running in Scottsdale, Arizona and Chicago, Illinois.
Haunts missing from our 2014 list. Sadly two wonderful attractions did not make this years ‘Top 100 list.
Haunted Chicken House – Hollis, AL –
More than 11,500 likes on Facebook. (Ranked #95 – 2013)
The Beast and The Edge of Hell – Kansas City, MO –
More than 10,600 likes on Facebook. (Ranked #100 – 2013)
Also removed from the 2013 list is Scarefest in St. Louis, MO. It is really two separate attractions that we combines their Facebook likes on one page. They still are wildly popular with over 86,500 likes.
