Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm - Clayton, CA
The fall season begins in late September.  A u-pick vegetable stand started in 1980 by David and Sharon Osteen. Pumpkins were the most popular purchase so they expanded it to become the pumpkin patch that it is today. Children’s playground, barnyard play area, Pumpkin Farm Express train and farm animals. Farm is open everyday in October with special activities on weekends. Their address is 1060 Pine Lane, Clayton, CA 94517. It is about 26 miles east of Oakland.  Especially popular with local schools with over 8000 student visitors each year.

Crystal Bay Farm - Watsonville, CA
Open 7 days a week in October.  Jeff and Lori Fiorovich have been planting pumpkins on their farm for more than 10 years. The farm was certified organic in 1997. They grow over 40 varieties of pumpkins including The Ark of Taste on Slow Food’s endangered food list. Farm animals and tractor rides also available. Don’t miss Friday night movie night, the haunted bizarre bazaar and sleepovers in the pumpkin patch. The farm is located between two state parks overlooking Monterey Bay. Their address is 40 Zils Rd., Watsonville, CA. It is about 44 miles south of San Jose.

Fantozzi Farms - Patterson, CA
Opens for the season in late September.  Paul Fantozzi is a fourth generation apricot farmer who opened their first maze and patch in 2003. The farm is open for fall fun Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from late September through Halloween. Also features a 25 acre corn maze with 5 miles of paths and 12 hidden checkpoints. Haunted maze on Friday and Saturday nights in October. Their address is 2665 Sperry Ave., Patterson, California. It is about 19 miles southwest of Modesto.

G&M Farms - Livermore, CA
Open daily in October. Featured twice on the David Letterman show. Voted best seasonal attraction in the East Bay by Diablo Magazine. Pumpkin patch offers pumpkins of all sizes available for purchase. Cornfield maze is priced at $7-10 with children 5 and under free. Weekend attractions includes pony rides, cow train, barnyard blasters and pedal carts. They also have farm animals. Also one weekend in October they feature a haunted maze.  Easy freeway access off I-580. Their address is 487 East Airway, Livermore, CA 94551. It is about 33 miles east of Oakland.

Joan’s Farm - Livermore, CA
Pick your pumpkin from the patch is open daily in October with hay ride, maze, farm animals, gem panning (weekends) and pony rides (weekends). Also they have a gift shop, refreshments, antique museum, and old west town. Their address is 4351 Mines Road, Livermore, CA 94550. It is about 39 miles east of Oakland.

Lemos Farm - Half Moon Bay, CA
The farm is open Wednesday through Sunday daily in the fall (check calendar for details).  A third generation family ranch owned by the family since 1942. Pick your pumpkin from the patch, visit the haunted house or enjoy the petting zoo, hayride, playtown, train ride and pony ride. Their address is 12320 San Mateo Rd., Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. It is about 27 miles south of San Francisco.

Petaluma Pumpkin Patch - Petaluma, CA
Pumpkin patch opens September 27th.  Features is a 5 acre pumpkin patch and 4 acre corn maze by a 4th generation Petaluma farmer. Pumpkins priced by size starting at $1 each with giant pumpkins available. Over 35 varieties of pumpkins available. Maze generally takes 45 minutes to complete with a night maze on Friday and Saturday nights. Located alongside Highway 101, they have provided family fun on the farm for more than 20 years. Piedmont Ave Pumpkin Patch - Oakland, CA
Open every day beginning October 1st.  Piedmont features a pumpkin patch and haunted house.  Best described as a pumpkin wonderland with over 15 varieties of pumpkins and lots of fun activities.  Their address is 4414 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA. It is about 2 miles from downtown Oakland, CA.

R.A.M. Farms Inc. - Turlock, CA
Pumpkin patch opens daily starting September 21st and corn maze starts late September.  Pick your pumpkins from the field. Kids can visit the hay maze, scary shed, pedal tractors, sand box and go pumpkin bowling with pumpkin purchase. Also popular is their 20 acre corn maze that is open daily in October. Flashlight nights on weekends. Located 10 minutes south of Modesto off Highway 99. Their address is 716 N Daubenberger Rd., Turlock, California. It is about 15 miles southeast of Modesto.

Smith Family Farm - Knightsen, CA
Annual pumpkin harvest fun includes pick your own pumpkins, corn maze, live music and barnyard animals. Lots of fun and activities in October.  Opened by the Smith family in the late 1970s. They also harvest and sell lots of Christmas trees. Smith Family Farm is very popular with over 12,368 Facebook likes. Their address is 4430 Sellers Ave., Knightsen, CA. It is about 45 miles east of Oakland.

Swank Farms - Hollister, CA
Corn maze and pumpkin patch opens late September with their big Fall Festival.  Dick and Bonnie Swank started the pumpkin patch and corn maze here in 2000, although their family had been farming and raising cows on the land since 1929. They also have a pumpkin sling shot, giant jumping pillow, corn cannon, pedal karts, gem mining and sumo wrestling. They are open daily in October. They also feature a Terror In the Corn maze after dark at another location. Swank Farms has more than 9,800 Facebook likes.

Uesugi Farms Morgan Hill Pumpkin Park - San Martin, CA
Morgan Hill pumpkin park is open every day in October with special music entertainment on Saturday and Sunday.  Enjoy a 2 acre corn maze, train rides, pumpkin pyramid, pumpkin blaster, carousel, petting corral and pony rides. Petting corral with friendly farm animals including a miniature donkey. Pumpkin blaster shoots mini pumpkins at targets at 90 mph. Hay jump for kids as well as pony rides on the weekends. Pumpkin pyramid has more than 4000 pumpkins stacked. Pumpkin blaster shoots mini pumpkins at targets at 90 mph. Last year, the World Record pumpkin at their Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off in mid-October weighed in at over 2,000 pounds. Free admission. Parking fee is $5 on the weekends.
