It is not yet known what role Steve Trevor will play in the Wonder Woman 1984. The film takes place seven decades later in 1984. In the comic book series, Trevor dies and returns in various ways multiple times, so it is not completely unexpected. We will have to wait for the film to come out to determine precisely what happened and how it is explained to fans of the series.

The character first appeared in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941) and was created by William Moulton Marston. Steve Trevor was also a character in the Wonder Woman TV series that ran in the 1970s.

Chris Pine is an American actor that also played Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek film series beginning in 2009. He played Steve Trevor in the original Wonder Woman movie and will do so again in Wonder Woman 1984 despite the time gap between the movie settings.
