Find a Ghost Train near you this fall for some Halloween fun in October.  Haunted trains include ghosts, murder mystery, costume, zombie, and trick or treat variations.  If you haven’t been on a dinner murder mystery train it is a real treat and something different.

Alyeska Mystery Train – Anchorage, Alaska
Travel between Anchorage and Girdwood aboard the Alyeska Railroad Halloween Train.  Trains depart from 411 West 1st Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501.

Search for the Headless Horseman – Fillmore, California – October 4-26, 2014
The Headless Horseman Family Dinner Train runs 5 dates either Saturday or Sunday in October.  The Fillmore & Western Railway operates from downtown Fillmore, California.

Rails to the Darkside Train – East Windsor, Connecticut – October 3-25, 2014
Ride electric railroading at the Connecticut Trolley Museum located at 58 N Rd., East Windsor, CT 06088.  Rails to the Darkside operates on October 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25, 2014.  Adult tickets are $16.

Trolley to Haunted Isle – East Haven, Connecticut – September 26 – October 25, 2014.
Take the short 5 minute Trolley Ride each way to the Haunted Isle attraction.  Adult tickets are $12 on Friday and Saturday nights.  This is a scary attraction so be careful about bringing young children.  The trolleys depart at 7 pm and 10 pm from 17 River Street, East Haven, CT 06512.

Trick or Treat Train – Golden, Colorado – October 25-26, 2014
Lots activities from the Colorado Railroad Museum located at 17155 W. 44th Avenue, Golden, CO 80403.  The train departs every 30 minutes between 10 am and 4 pm.  Adult tickets are priced at $15.

Halloween Express Train – Wilmington, Delaware – October 26, 2014
Adult tickets are $14 for the Halloween Express operated by the Wilmington & Western Railroad.  Experience the 1 hour round trip to Mt. Cuba.  The train departs from Greenbank Station, 2201 Newport Gap Pike, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Haunted Dinner Express Train – Horseshoe Bend, Idaho – October 3-31, 2014
Ride about the Thunder Mountain Line railroad from Horseshoe Bend to Banks on Friday’s in October.  The address is 120 Mill Rd., Horseshoe Bend, ID 83629.

Ghost of No Return and Ghostly Trolley – Mount Pleasant, Iowa – October 10-25, 2014
The Midwest Central Railroad operates 5 nights in October beginning at 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.  Adult ticket prices are $10.  Games and food can be purchased.  Train is located at 405 E. Threshers Road, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641.

Haunted Hollow Express – Stearns, Kentucky – October 17-18, 2014 and 24-25, 2014.
Adult tickets are $18 for the ride aboard the Big South Fork Scenic Railway.  Train leave from 100 Henderson Street, Stearns, Kentucky at 7:30 pm on 4 nights in October.

Haunted Halloween Train Ride – Versailles, Kentucky – October 17-18, 2014 and October 24-25, 2014

Haunted Express Night Time Rides – Farmingdale, New Jersey – October 10-25, 2014
Adult tickets are $7.50 aboard the Haunted Express operated by the Pine Creek Railroad and the New Jersey Museum Transportation.  Trains depart every 30 minutes from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm.  The dates are October 10, 11, 17, 18. 24, and 25.

The Historic Jefferson Railway operates the Runaway Fright Train out of 400 East Austin, Jefferson. Texas 75657.  It runs a theater production on board by the East Texas Performing Arts.  The train ride is 45 minutes through the dark woods of Texas.  Adult tickets start at $14 for Friday and $16 for Saturday tickets.

Headless Horseman Halloween Special Train – Yacolt, Washington – October 25-26, 2014
