This Columbia Oktoberfest will have authentic German food, live oompah bands and lots of beer. Hosted by Incarnation Lutheran Church. Admission is free. Entertainment includes the German Friendship Folk Dancers, the Walhalla Bavarian Dancers, The German Connection Band and Die Lustigen Musikanten. Lunch and Dinner menu includes wiener schnitzel, jaegerschnitzel, weisswurst and bratwurst with sauerkraut, spaetzle, kartoffelsalat (potato salad) and more. This outdoor festival started in 1978, and continues to bring together artisans, dancers, musicians, and storytellers to celebrate South Carolina’s black history and culture on the grounds of the Mann-Simons Site.
