What are the busiest nights/times? What’s the average wait during peak days and times? Is is possible to go to the front of the line by paying an extra fee?
We are only open on the weekends (Thurs-Sat) this year and our weekends are usually rather busy. Of course Halloween is our busiest day. Average wait time can be anywhere from 10 minutes to and hour+. It depends on the amount we have coming to see the show. On Thursdays it will probably be a short wait but on Fridays and Saturdays it will be longer.
How long does it take to go through the haunted house?
An average last year was 15-20 minutes. Depending on how fast the groups move through the house it could be quicker or longer.
How scary is your haunted house? Is it kid-friendly?
It is really scary for Adults. We don’t hold back with Adult groups. For kids, however, we give them glow-in-the-dark bracelets and necklaces so we can see that there are children in the group and we go easier. We also communicate that there are kids in a certain group to the cast members before the group enters the house so we will all know to go easy.
Are there reviews of your haunted house online?
Our Facebook page and our Youtube page has some reviews on it from people who have either worked or went through the show.
A lot of haunted houses support charities. Does yours? If so, how?
We are doing a Food Drive for the Foodbank of Greenwood County this year to help the community during the winter months. We offer $2 off Adult ticket with a donation of 2 or more cans of Food.
Our readers love to see photos and watch youtube videos. Care to send us some we can put up?
What’s the history of your haunted attraction and how did you get started haunting?
Mike Newman, the owner, came here from Florida in 2009. Over the years the house has grown into a “monster”, so to speak, and each year the show, the paths, the cast, the crew changes into something completely different than the previous years. There’s a constant state of disorientation and fear while walking through the house. Every turn, nook, corner, and cranny has a scare, a visual effect, or some sort of frightening event taking place. Never a dull moment.
What’s the parking situation? Is it lot/street and fee/meter/free? Is the haunted house accessible by public transportation?
We have multiple parking lots. One near the entrance and others across the street. All parking is free.
What nearby restaurants would you recommend for great food, families, and dates? And what do you suggest our readers do after your haunted house? Is there another haunted house nearby that you would recommend or some other form of after attraction entertainment?
We are located right near Uptown Greenwood which offers a variety of Bars, Restaurants, and Shopping for people to choose from. The closest haunted
house from us is an Hour trip north to Greenville or a 2 hour trip East to Columbia.
