Enjoy a pumpkin patch on Long Island this fall: Last Major Update:

Elwood Pumpkin Farm – Huntington, NY.  The most western pumpkin patch on Long Island. Pumpkin picking off the vine, hay rides and children’s corn maze. Open daily in season. You can also cut your own Christmas tree here.  The address is 1500 E Jericho Turnpike, Huntington, NY.  It is about 33 miles east of Queens.

Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm – Aquebogue, NY.  All 26 acres of pumpkin picking straight off the vine. All you can carry pumpkins for $25 or 59 cents per pound. The farm has been selling pumpkins since 1976. Hayrides past the maze and around the patch are $6 per person. Kids’ Korner has face painting, bounce house and pony rides. Three acre cornfield maze with trivia game for $6. Country Store has fall decorations and toys for kids. Stop by the Snack Shack for a meal or enjoy an ear of roasted corn.  The address is 270 West Lane, Aquebogue, NY.  It is about 18 miles east of Southampton, NY.

FW Schmitt Farms – Melville, NY.  Pick your own pumpkins on weekends.  A 7 acre corn maze, hayrides, children’s daytime haunted mansion, playground, farm animals, slides, pony rides.  The address is 26 Pinelawn Rd., Melville, NY 11747.  It is located 28 miles east of Queens.

Schmitt Family Farms – Dix Hills, NY.  CBS 2 New York declared it one of the 7 best places for pumpkin picking in NY, NJ and Connecticut. In addition to the pumpkin field, there are hayrides, a pumpkin bounce house, haunted maze, haunted house, and trike play area. They also have roasted corn and apple cider.  They are open Saturday and Sunday around September 19th through October 25th.  The address is 6 Bagatelle Road, Dix Hills, NY 11746.  It is about 31 miles east of Queens.

Queen’s Botanical Garden – Flushing, NY.  Their one day Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch in October lets kids select and decorate a pumpkin. Kids can also plant seeds and get their face painted. For adults, there is barbecue, live music and workshops/tours.  The address is 43-50 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355.  It is about 2 miles from downtown Queens.

Borellas Farm – Saint James, NY.  A farm stand operating on Long Island for more than fifty years. Pick your own pumpkins from their field, hay rides, corn maze, face painting and inflatable rides during their Fall Harvest Festival every Saturday and Sunday in October.  It is located at 485 Edgewood Avenue, St. James, NY.  It is 5 miles south of Stony Brook.

Queen’s County Farm Museum – Floral Park, NY.  They have a small field where you can pick pre-cut pumpkins. Other activities include hayrides, three acre corn maze and petting zoo. They also host an apple festival, children’s fall festival and haunted house on specific days.  The Halloween Haunted House is open October 24th-25th.  The Pumpkin Patch runs October 3rd-25th.  The Amazing Maize Maze runs September 19th to October 25th.  The farm is located at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, NY 11004.  It is about 12 driving miles east of downtown Queens.

Brightwaters Farm – Bay Shore, NY.  A working farm run by the Quintal family with pumpkin picking, hayrides, farm animals and wooden playground.  The address is 1624 Manatuck Blvd., Bay Shore, NY 11706.  It is about 39 miles east of Queens.

Finks Country Farm – Wading River, NY.  A family owned farm operated for more than fifty years by the Finks. U-pick pumpkins, a 7 acre corn maze, hayrides, kiddy train rides and farm stand.  Their fall festival runs weekends and include a corn cannon, pony rides, pumpkin slingshot, pig races, and live music.  The address is 6242 Middle Country Rd., Wading River, NY 11792.  It is about 60 miles east of Queens.

Lewin Farm – Baiting Hollow, NY.  Pick your own pumpkins in late September and October. Lewin Farm is an 1100 acre family owned and operated farm on Long Island with apple picking and a 5 acre corn maze as well.  The address is 812 Sound Avenue, Calverton, NY 11933.  It is 67 miles east of Queens.

Harbes Family Farm – Mattituck, NY.  Enjoy fun pumpkin picking off the vine, Robin Hood Corn Maze, apple picking, wagon rides and pedal carts.  They are open weekends starting September 6th through the end of October.  The address is 715 Sound Avenue, Mattituck, NY.  It is 23 miles north of Southampton, NY.

Lenny Bruno Farms – Manorville, NY.  U-pick pumpkins on a family owned and operated vegetable farm.  They are open 7 days a week during the fall.  The address is 740 wading river road, Manorville, NY 11949.  It is located about 59 miles east of Queens.

May’s Farm – Wading River, NY.  Find a perfect pumpkin in their pumpkin patch.  Enjoy the tractor drawn hayrides and Amazing Corn Maze. Also they have pony rides, face painting and pumpkin decorating for kids on select weekends.  They feature Halloween and Autumn decorations.  The address is 6361 RT. 25A, Wading River, Long Island, NY.  It is 65 miles east of Queens.

Suffolk County Farm – Yaphank, NY.  The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County hosts a Pumpkinfest for a weekend with wagon rides, corn maze, pumpkin picking and pumpkin decorating. They also hold an annual pumpkin catapult contest called the Pumpkin Fling.  Pumpkinfest runs October 3-4 and Pumpkin Fling happens on October 24th.  The address is 350 Yaphank Avenue, Yaphank, NY 11980.  It is located 53 miles east of Queens.

White Post Farm – Melville, NY.  A fifth generation family farm in Huntington since 1886. Precut pumpkins in their pumpkin patch, animal farm petting zoo, hayrides and kids bounce park.  The address is 250 Old Country Road, Melville, NY.  It is about 27 miles east of Queens.

Windy Acres Farm – Calverton, NY.  A fourth generation family farm offering u-pick pumpkins and apples in the fall. Also enjoy their corn maze and hayrides.  The address is 3810 Middle Country Rd., Calverton, NY.  It is about 22 miles west of Southampton.

Woodside Nursery and Garden Center – Patchogue, NY.  Enjoy their pumpkin picking, haunted tunnel, scarecrow making, balloon bounce, gold mining and face painting (weekends).  The address is 134 E Woodside Avenue, N Patchogue, NY 11772.  It is about 51 miles east of Queens.

Greenland Family Farms – Cutchogue, NY.  Fall events include pumpkin picking, hayrides on weekends in October, hay bales, corn stalks, and hundreds of Halloween decorations.  The farm is located at 17155 County Rd. 48, Cutchogue, NY.  It is located about a 28 mile driving distance north of Southampton.

Benners Farm – East Setauket, NY.  They feature pumpkin picking, hayrides, live music, and cider making.  This 15 acre private farm has many weekend festivals throughout the summer and fall.  It is located at 56 Gnarled Hollow Rd., E Setauket, NY.  It is about 50 miles east of Queens.
